Life Skills and Moral Education in Schools & Communities
We conducted life skill and moral education sessions for the target group, including women, single mothers, the vulnerable group, and school children in the community. Sessions will range widely from personal development, ethics, and communication. Participants are able to acquire appropriate life skills on how to handle everyday situations, handle stresses in life, and develop a proper moral conscience.
Additionally we focused our efforts in tis initiative at the following educational institutions:
Mariamu Star School – Raila Village
Eagles View Education Centre – Off Salim Road
Trinity School – 56 Kawangware
Eliwas Kids Center – Muslim Raila Village
Al Muntazir School – Riruta
Empowerment School – Kawangware
Solomon Minds School – Chief Office Road
Child Of God – Kabiro Village
St Antony School – Soko Mjinga
Dagoretti School – Ghatina
The output from these sessions has been huge. Equipping individuals, including school-going children, with life-skills and values have empowered them to manage social and personal problems with greater efficiency. For school-going children, the sessions have helped a lot in managing the pressure of academics, developing healthy relationships with peers, and approaching their studies with more confidence and integrity.
The end result of this training has placed adults in a better position regarding choice-making, keeping good relations with others, and facing all types of challenging life situations with more strength and resilience. Such a process of empowering them has benefited the individuals in their respective individual lives, as well as contributing to community development. The participants, including school-going children, have now become more participative and proactive in the social milieu by using their acquired set of skills and roles for the support of others and developing a cohesive and resilient environment.
Through these, we have ensured personal growth, strengthening community bonds and thus creating ripples of change within the community. This holistic approach ensures that individuals at all levels of age are beneficiaries of life skills and moral education for a more supportive community with increased well-being.
