Hygiene Product-Making Workshops
We have provided the trainees with workshop trainings in the manufacture of soaps and shampoos, among other personal hygiene products. We engage them in theory, methods, and processes applied in the manufacture of finished high-quality hygiene products. The workshops range from the selection and formulation of ingredients to packaging and marketing the products-the whole cycle of product development and sales.
These workshops have made quite an impact. Besides teaching these people to manufacture hygiene products, the ability to market them has also been given, hence fostering entrepreneurship at the local level and contributing to economic self-sufficiency. In teaching the people the skill of manufacturing and selling these products, we have empowered them to start small businesses that enhance their income potential and financial independence.
The production and distribution of such hygiene products are also contributing toward better health standards in the community. This access to reasonably priced, locally produced soap and shampoo has supported personal hygiene practices that are improved, reducing the prevalence of issues associated with poor hygiene and promoting better well-being. It is through this that we have encouraged not only entrepreneurial spirit but also the health and economic resilience of the local community.
