Tailoring Classes
We have designed some free courses in tailoring, which we conduct to teach women, single mothers, and even the youth. This is within our bigger picture of equipping our target groups with applicable skills for financial self-sufficient entrepreneurship. The course covers several aspects of tailoring, right from simple garment construction to highly professional sewing techniques that shall enable beneficiaries to make high-quality clothes and other textile products.
This is a very successful program. By offering these classes for free, we have opened the way to many who have gone on to start profitable tailoring businesses and, therefore, started a way of financial independence. Many of our tailoring graduates have taken the skills learned to the next level by starting their own small enterprises. This enables them to increase economic stability and contributes to entrepreneurship within their local community. This initiative has improved the livelihoods of the participants by sustaining the community through new business and job opportunities and, in essence, improving economic growth and self-sufficiency.
