Daycare for Single Mothers and Employed Widows

Daycare for Single Mothers and Employed Widows
Our day-care program has been a significant resource to single mothers and widowed working women, affording these clients with the assistance in child care that is necessary for them to pursue productive work and meet their family obligations. Over the past year, the day care operations have required an average of 3,500 Kshs per month for rent and an additional 8,000 Kshs per month to cover the salaries of two competent day care employees.
It is through this financial structure that we have been able to continually offer daycare services. We cover the overhead for the facility, the rent, and salaries of staff members to ensure that the facility can stay open and fully functional-a safe environment for kids as parents go to work.
This program has brought quite a profound impact. To the single mothers and working widows, decent daycare service means being able to go to work with one’s mind free because the children are okay. The help they give does not only pay off at the workplace but also extends to life as a whole and their economic stability.
