Volunteer Programs and Internships
Over the last three years, we have taken up nine university students from various institutions for internship. These students came from business management, leadership, accounting, the built environment, arts, mental health, moral and life skills, money management, and economic standing. Each of them brought their level-best expertise and knowledge to our programs, making them even more enriching, while the scope of support we offer to the community keeps on increasing with them.
These on-field work experiences gave students the valuable exposures that made them put theoretical knowledge into practice in an existing environment. The experience was important in their professional lives, as it encompasses the problems and opportunities pertaining to community service and nonprofit work. We received, and in return shared, our skills and expertise in various projects that we had, including workshops, training sessions, and community outreach. Their involvement raised the bar in the quality of our work, so that it was more diverse and brought novelty to our initiatives.
The impacts of this internship program have been dual in nature. For the students, it provided a means for experiential learning and professional growth to better equip them for their future careers. To the community, the contribution the interns have made toward our programs has served to further enhance the effectiveness of diverse support services. Therefore, we are reinforcing the development of the community by creating an exchange that is truly symbiotic in knowledge and experience.
