Salon and Hairdressing Training
We have provided an integrated set of free training courses in hairdressing, massage, and beauty services for women, single mothers, and youth. The purpose of this type of class is to provide a mixed set of skills in most fields of beauty and personal care, such as hair cutting and styling, massaging, and other beauty services. The training is structured in such a way that it would provide not only the basic techniques but also a set of advanced practices to make them confident during entrance into the beauty industry.
This initiative has borne significant fruits. Many of the participants have used these skills to open their salons either for freelance or beauty services. This has not only eased their way into professional beauty but also contributed a great deal to local economic development.
Some beneficiaries have become financially independent and have earned an income by either opening their own businesses or offering freelance services. The increase in local salon services contributes to the bigger benefit of beautifying the community, hence offering career opportunities for many people by creating an avenue to render service in personal grooming. This is one such initiative that clearly has promoted economic development and engagement in entrepreneurship for the building of appropriate careers in individuals and contributing toward the local economic powerhouse.
