
Cooking Classes
We have provided culinary skills training to community members as part of our overall effort to enhance economic opportunities and improve the quality of life. These sessions cover everything from simple, basic cooking methods up to advanced cooking and presentation of foods. The participants will be exposed to diverse and delicious dishes, learn how to manage food safely, and develop menu planning skills, which is important in successfully managing any enterprise related to food.
The success of this project has indeed been very effective. This is because, by equipping these individuals with practical cooking skills, we have put them in a position where they can either start their own small food-selling businesses or offer catering services. Indeed, this has raised their economic status immensely, as they have been earning an income and putting their lives on a more economically stable footing. This opportunity to establish food enterprises raised their quality of life by giving them a more certain source of income and also developing in them a more self-sufficient attitude toward life. The rise in small food businesses and catering also imbued the local community with a plethora of culinary delights while creating a lot of new job opportunities. Through this project, we have facilitated individual entrepreneurship and, in general, community development with economic growth and increasing well-being.
